Fujifilm’s super zoom S-Series range – the FinePix S4200, FinePix S4500 and FinePix SL300 - are high powered premium bridge cameras that offer DSLR-standard quality and versatility, along with compact convenience and portability.

The optical zoom size is a key difference between the S-Series camera range - the FinePix S4200 incorporates a 24x wide angle optical zoom (24mm-576mm equivalent), while the FinePix S4500 and FinePix SL300 boast a 30x wide angle optical zoom (24mm-720mm equivalent).

The FinePix SL300 is also equipped with dual zoom control for flexible shooting and also a TTL Hot Shoe which allows users to add accessories, including Fujifilm external flashes.

There are two versatile power options available: 4 x AA battery power for the FinePix S4200 and FinePix S4500 making them ideal for travelling, or rechargeable lithium ion power for the FinePix SL300 delivering up to 260 shots per charge.

Other S-Series camera features include a 14-megapixel CCD sensor, bright 3” LCD screens, electronic viewfinders, Dual Image Stabilisation, improved start-up times, auto-focus as fast as 0.35 seconds in low light, as well as a full manual control option.

Fujinon Zoom Lens

The Optical Power Zoom lens on the S-Series range incorporates Fujinon’s expert engineering to minimise chromatic aberrations and distortions.

Ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, keen travellers or sports fans, the S-Series offers edge-to-edge sharpness and exceptional image clarity. Complete with Dual Image Stabilisation CCD sensors and high ISO sensitivity for blur-free images, the FinePix S4200, FinePix S4500 and FinePix SL300 also offer a Super Macro Mode that can focus as close as 2cm to capture exceptional detail.

Stunning Panoramic Shots

The FinePix S4200, FinePix S4500 and FinePix SL300 feature an easy-to-use Motion Panorama shooting mode which captures three successive shots with a helpful tool that automatically releases the shutter once the images are fully aligned to seamlessly stitch the shots together in-camera, enabling photographers to be as creative as they wish.

HD Movie Capture

At the touch of a button, the Fujifilm S-Series range captures stunning movies in 720p with sound at
30 frames per second (fps) which can be played back on an HDTV using a mini-HDMI output connector (HDMI cable not included).

Face Recognition and Image Searching

The Face Recognition tool on the FinePix S4200, FinePix S4500 and FinePix SL300 allows users to tag and name eight of their favourite subjects. In future, the camera will automatically recognise these people in every photo taken and allow you to search for all your photos of them.

SR Auto Scene Recognition technology registers whether you’ve taken a photo of a person, landscape, night shot or macro shot so you can filter your search by subject matter or even date, enabling you to

get straight to the photo you are after quickly and intuitively.

Social Networking and PhotoBooks

The FinePix S4200, FinePix S4500 and FinePix SL300 offer in-camera tagging capabilities for both Facebook and YouTube. Once you connect to a PC and launch My FinePix Studio software, it will automatically upload your photos and movies on either site.

The S-Series range also allows you to tag in-camera the images you would like to feature in a photo book. These photos can be viewed separately in-camera enabling you to create and order a Photo Book quickly and seamlessly.

Smile and Blink Detection

Smile Detection recognises the moment your subject smiles and releases the shutter only when this happens, ensuring a happy photo every time. Additionally, the Blink Detection function will warn if any of your subjects have blinked so you can re-capture the photo.

Other features of the FinePix S4200, FinePix S4500 and FinePix SL300 include:

Tracking Auto Focus (AF) - Tracking AF is ideal for tracking fast moving subjects so they don’t escape from the frame in a blur.  It allows you to track moving objects automatically for as long as the subject is kept in the frame and the shutter button is half-pressed. Once you fully press the shutter button, you capture a photo in the centre of the frame and in perfect focus.

i-Flash Intelligent Flash - i-Flash Intelligent Flash is a flash control system that efficiently manages the flash level for a given exposure in order to produce beautifully balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background.

Full Manual Controls - Full Manual Controls allows the user to manually control the settings and shooting features. The specially designed chassis includes dedicated command buttons for quick and easy key functions.

Instant Zoom / Zoom Bracketing - This feature is handy for high level photography. The Instant Zoom function captures moving subjects at high zoom settings. After zooming on a subject, a single button gives an additional 1.4x or 2x digital zoom. Zoom bracketing automatically captures the same image three times with zoom ratio settings of 1x, 4x and 2x with a single shutter release.

Continuous Shooting - Continuous Shooting allows high speed continuous shooting up to 8fps.
