Fujifilm’s FinePix JZ100 and FinePix JX500 are feature-packed, easy to use
ultra-slim compact cameras that come equipped with the latest technology for producing great photos.

Handy as everyday cameras that you can take anywhere, the FinePix JZ100 and FinePix JX500 include high resolution 14 megapixel CCD sensors, HD movie capabilities, Smile / Blink Detection, i-Flash Intelligent Flash and 2.7-inch LCD screen.

Available in a variety of colours, a key difference between the two models is the zoom – the FinePix JZ100 is an 8x long zoom compact (25-200mm equivalent) that enables users to capture everything from beautiful wide angle shots to stunning images of distant objects.

The FinePix JX500 has a powerful Fujinon 5x optical zoom (26-130mm equivalent) to ensure the highest image quality is captured every time for stunning photo results.

The FinePix JX500 also incorporates Motion Panorama Mode - Fujifilm’s auto-stitching technology and Facebook and You Tube easy web upload which allows you to sort through your photos on-camera and decide which ones to upload to Facebook or You Tube.

HD Movie Capabilities

With their own dedicated movie recording buttons, the FinePix JZ100 and FinePix JX500 each offer 720p HD movie capture so users can take  stunning detailed images and movies that can be enjoyed in ultra-sharp high definition on an HD ready television or PC using the optional HD Player  (HDP-L1) accessory kit with wireless remote control (HDMI cable not included).

ISO Sensitivity

The FinePix JZ100 and JX500 can capture top quality shots thanks to their inbuilt high ISO sensitivity 100 - 3200 (ISO 3200 is effective in S mode). The JZ100 is equipped with Optical Image Stabilisation which is beneficial when shooting in low light situations, while the JX500 has Digital Image Stabilisation which reduces image blur automatically, resulting in excellent picture quality.

Smile / Blink Detection

Smile Detection works with Fujifilm’s highly acclaimed Face Detection technology to detect smiles on faces – it won’t capture a photo until it detects a smile so you’re guaranteed happy shots. Another feature is Blink Detection which warns if you have captured an image with people blinking so you can re-shoot if necessary.

i-Flash Intelligent Flash

This feature offers a flash control system that efficiently controls the flash level for a given exposure to produce beautifully balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background.

Tracking Auto Focus (AF)

AF tracks fast moving subjects so they don’t escape from the frame in a blur. Subjects will be tracked automatically for as long as they are kept in the frame and the shutter is half-pressed. Once the shutter is fully pressed, your subject will be in the centre of the photo in perfect focus.

Scene Recognition Auto Mode (SR Auto)
This mode intelligently identifies the scene type and necessary shooting conditions to optimise picture perfect potential.

Face Detection and Automatic Red-Eye Removal

Face Detection technology can track up to 10 faces simultaneously. The system instantly corrects red-eye and saves both the original and corrected image file automatically.

Accessories for the FinePix JZ100 and FinePix JX500 include a Lithium-ion battery (NP-45A) Hand Strap; USBcable; FinePix Software (CD-Rom); Owner’s Manual.

The JZ100 is equipped with a battery charger (BC-45B) while the JX500 includes an AC power adapter.

 

The Fujifilm FinePix JZ100 has a recommended retail price of $149, including GST.
