Fujifilm’s highly acclaimed X-Series premium cameras – X-Pro1 and X-S1 – have each been awarded prestigious Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards, regarded as the most coveted photo and imaging awards worldwide.

Fujifilm X-Pro1 – TIPA Best Compact System Camera Professional Award

The revolutionary Fujifilm X-Pro1 is a premium interchangeable lens camera which received the TIPA Best Compact System Camera Professional Award in recognition of its Hybrid Multi Viewfinder, allowing users to switch between the optical viewfinder (OVF) and electronic viewfinder (EVF). It automatically selects the OVF magnification and frame size according to the focal length of the attached lens (for wide angle and standard focal lengths).

 

The X-Pro1 was also recognised for its 16.3 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS™ Sensor, enabling very high image quality, high speed and high precision image processing. Its new colour filter array with enhanced aperiodicity (randomness) controls moiré and false colour generation without requiring a low pass filter.

 

The camera’s exceptional technology is reinforced by an engineering design that pays special attention to the compatibility between the sensor and accompanying lenses.

 

Fujifilm X-S1 – TIPA Best Superzoom Camera Award

The X-S1 was also recognised for its full manual controls, the in-camera RAW format processing function, as well as its full HD 1080p movie recording capability.

 

Fujifilm Senior Category Manager – Imaging, Daniel Paul, saidthe TIPA awards are the most coveted photo awards in Europe.
