New FUJIFILM FinePix JZ500 – a long zoom compact camera equipped with slim style and substance
The new FUJIFILM FinePix JZ500 is the complete compact package with its long zoom, slim style and impressive functionality.
The FinePix JZ500 offers a generous Fujinon 10x wide-angle optical zoom lens (28mm–280mm equivalent), advanced CCD-shift image stabilisation system,
HD image and movie capture, 2.7” LCD screen and 14-megapixel resolution.
Slim and stylish
The luxury metal FinePix JZ500 is available in black and comes with elegant round edges and a smooth matte finish. It is incredibly slim at just 23mm deep, so conveniently fits in a pocket - even with a 10x optical zoom. The cool blue LED light indicates if the camera is switched on and adds to its impressive overall effect.
Fujinon optics
The Fujinon 10x optical zoom combined with FUJIFILM’s advanced Dual Image Stabilisation ensures focused, blur-free images – even at the full zoom range on the FinePix JZ500.
The FinePix JZ500 reduces blur to a minimum by deploying Picture Stabilisation to automatically increase shutter speeds to freeze action and mechanical CCD sensor shift stabilisation to counteract the problems of handshake. By cleverly combining these two, blur is reduced to an absolute minimum.
The versatile 28mm wide-angle lens is also perfect for wide landscapes or large group shots as it ensures every stunning detail is captured.
Advanced HD capabilities
The FinePix JZ500 is able to capture both photos and movies in high definition 16:9 format. By using an optional HD Player to connect to an HD-ready TV, you can enjoy the impact of full screen HDTV image display with detailed stills and high resolution movie playback.
NEW Targeting AF
Ideal for action shots, Targeting AF is a handy feature that tracks a moving subject automatically while the shutter is half-pressed. Once you are ready to capture the photo, you press the shutter button fully and your subject will be in the centre of the frame in perfect focus.
Scene Recognition Auto (SR Auto)
The FinePix JZ500 is equipped with six scene SR Auto settings (Portrait, Backlit Portrait, Night Portrait, Landscape, Macro and Night Scene) which optimise the camera settings dependent on the shooting conditions to ensure you achieve the best shot possible.
NEW Face Recognition Technology
Face Recognition technology allows you to pre-program up to eight individual faces. When the camera next detects that you are taking a photo of one of your pre-programmed faces, the focus and exposure are instantly optimised for that person. Face Recognition also lets you group and sort your photos according to your pre-programmed faces.
Picture Search Tool
FUJIFILM’s new Picture Search tool is a file management tool that allows you to find specific photos quickly and easily. You can search by Scene mode to view all photos with people or all photos of landscapes, for example, rather than trawling through all your photos to find the one you are seeking.
NEW Dog / Cat Detection technology
FUJIFILM has developed the world’s first Pet Detection function, which works in a similar way to Face Detection.
Pet Detection recognises up to 10 faces of cats or dogs per photo and optimises the camera’s settings accordingly. Available in the Scene Mode settings, Pet Detection captures front on images only (not profile shots). An auto release function may also be selected to automatically take a photo when the pet is looking directly at the camera.
