NEW FUJIFILM FinePix Z700EXR with touch screen technology and EXR image quality in a design that exudes luxury
The FinePix Z700EXR is a new style of touch screen camera that incorporates award-winning EXR sensor technology, impressive 3.5-inch touch screen LCD, Dual Image Display and the world’s first digital camera to feature Dual Direction GUI (Graphical User Interface).
The FinePix Z700EXR features are so impressive that the FinePix Z700EXR was recently awarded a DIMA 2010 Innovative Digital Product Award.
Available in a choice of red, black or silver, the FinePix Z700EXR is housed inside a full metal chassis that is just 16.9mm thin, allowing it to conveniently fit in a pocket or purse.
It incorporates a 12-megapixel Super CCD EXR sensor, Fujinon 5x Periscopic optical zoom lens
(36–180mm equivalent) perfect for dramatic close-up shots or wide angle compositions, as well as ISO levels up to 1600 at full resolution, making it ideal for low light performance.
Super CCD EXR sensor
FUJIFILM’s Award Winning Super CCD EXR sensor has the unique ability to switch its behaviour dependent on the shooting conditions. It can be left on EXR Auto or you can manually select the EXR Priority mode for High Resolution (HR) to ensure every small detail is recorded, Dynamic Range (DR) to achieve the optimal balance between highlights and shadows, or High Sensitivity and Low Noise (SN) to ensure clean noise-free photographs even in the darkest conditions.
Touch Screen Technology
The FinePix Z700EXR does not require the shutter button to focus on your subject. By simply touching the 3.5-inch LCD screen, you can focus and capture an image in an instant. The responsive touch screen not only lets you take and view photos with the touch of a finger it also provides a large, bright screen to compose and view your photos.
Dual Image Display & Dual Direction GUI
Dual Direction GUI automatically detects how you are holding the camera and rotates the display to portrait or landscape view. When you hold the camera sideways, it automatically switches to a landscape view and if you hold it vertically the display switches to a portrait view (for shooting, playback, multi-viewing and image search).
The Dual Image Display splits the screen in various ways to view multiple images at once, enabling you to scroll through your images quickly and easily to locate the one you are looking for.
HD Movie & Image Capability
With HD image and movie capture, you are able to re-live your amazingly detailed high definition movies and images on any HD ready television using an optional HD Player that comes equipped with a remote control.
Face Recognition Technology
FUJIFILM’s Face Detection Technology has now progressed to the next level with the ability to
pre-program eight people into the camera so they can be recognised each time a photo is captured. Next time you take their photo it will bring up their name and optimise settings in favour of your registered faces. In playback, you can search for all photos containing registered faces to quickly find photos of your favourites. To help find and playback photographs quickly and easily, you can also use this search function to sort by Date, File or Scene type (Macro, Landscape, Portrait, Dog, Cat, etc) and also by images that have been edited.
Pet Detection
FUJIFILM’s brand new Pet Detection Technology allows you to detect up to 10 dog or cat faces* while automatically optimising the focus. Similar to Face Detection Technology, Pet Detection works by matching various dog or cat facial data with patterns to detect the dog or cat being photographed.
*Up to 10 dog or cat faces per photo; cannot detect pet faces in profile; cannot detect faces in scenes with both dogs and cats.
Easy Web Upload
FUJIFILM has introduced a new YouTube/FACEBOOK Easy Upload feature which simplifies photo and video sharing on social networks. By marking your favourite images for FACEBOOK or YouTube, they will be ready for upload when you next connect to the computer. There is no need to sort through photos – just connect to MyFinePix Studio (supplied with the camera) and all marked images and videos will upload directly to the respective site at the press of a button.
Automatic Scene Recognition
SR Auto Mode intelligently detects the scene type you are shooting and optimises the camera’s focus, exposure and white balance to capture flawless photos at the press of a button.
Dual Image Stabilisation
The FinePix Z700EXR reduces blur to a minimum by deploying Picture Stabilisation to automatically increase shutter speeds to freeze action, while mechanical CCD Sensor Shift Stabilisation counteracts the problems of handshake. The combination of both reduces blur to an absolute minimum.
‘Super Intelligent Flash’
The FinePix Z700EXR offers a flash control system that efficiently controls the level of flash for a given exposure to produce beautifully balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background. Super Intelligent Flashis most useful in macro photography where the contrast between subject and background can be especially challenging, but is also effective for night and backlit photography.
Face Detection and Automatic Red-eye Removal
To provide perfectly exposed and focused portrait shots, the FinePix Z700EXR is equipped with FUJIFILM’s latest Face Detection technology which can track up to 10 faces simultaneously at almost any angle to the camera. Red-eye is instantly corrected and the camera saves both the original and corrected image file automatically.
