The new FinePix S2950 is one of the latest additions to Fujifilm’s S-series range of bridge cameras which offer user-friendly features and great zoom versatility, without the hassle of carrying a bag of lenses.

The FinePix S2950 is equipped with a generous 18x Fujinon optical zoom lens, 14-megapixel sensor, large 3.0” LCD screen and 720p HD (30fps) movie capture.

Electric Powered Fujinon 18x Zoom Lens

The FinePix S2950 sports an impressive 28mm-504mm (35mm equivalent) high precision Fujinon optical zoom lens that is simple to operate with its electric powered zoom lever. The huge range allows you to capture all the detail, even from a distance. The zoom will also operate during video recording.

Dual Image Stabilisation for Sharp, Clear Shots

Even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging lighting conditions, the FinePix S2950 is able to produce crisp, clean results. With its mechanically stabilised 1/2 3”, 14-megapixel CCD sensor and high ISO sensitivity settings, Fujifilm’s Dual Image Stabilisation technology combines to reduce the blurring effects of both handshake and subject movement to provide superb photographs.

Impressive Panorama Shots

The Panoramic Shooting mode on the FinePix S2950 enables you to capture three successive shots with a helpful tool that automatically releases the shutter once the images are fully aligned to seamlessly stitch the shots together in-camera, producing impressive results.

Advanced HD capabilities for Movies and Stills

The HD enabled FinePix S2950 allows you to playback both HD stills (Full HD) and movies (720p) in superb quality on an HDTV. Using the mini HDMI port on the camera, it is very quick and easy to connect it to an HDTV to playback photos on the big screen. (HDMI cable not included)

Smile and Shoot Mode

With Fujifilm’s Smile and Shoot mode, the camera can recognise the exact moment your subject smiles and will only release the shutter once this happens, ensuring all your photos are happy ones. Additionally, the Blink Detection function warns you if any of your subjects have blinked so that you can re-take the photo if necessary.

Facebook / YouTube Easy Web Upload

This new function is a new addition to Fujifilm’s S-Series range of cameras, allowing you to tag photos in-camera for speedy upload to Facebook and YouTube once you connect to a PC and launch My FinePix Studio. This handy function is a great time saver as it allows you to organise your photos when you’re on the move.

Photobooks

The FinePix S2950 allows you to select the images in-camera that you would like to feature in your Photobook. You literally tag your preferred Photobook images and select the image for the front page so that when you are ready to order your book, it’s a much quicker and easier task.

You can also enjoy viewing the selected images on an in-camera Photobook, complete with pages that turn.

FUJIFILM Senior Category Manager – Consumer & Professional Products, Matt Dole, said the FinePix S2950 is an excellent bridge camera with its long zoom and tele-photo capabilities, making it an ideal choice for enthusiasts who are keen to have the features of an SLR without the need to change lenses.

Other FinePix S2950 features include up to ISO6400 (at reduced resolution), SR Auto, Full Manual Controls, Tracking AF and Auto Rotate.

Accessories include 4xAA Alkaline Batteries; Shoulder Strap; Lens Cap; Lens Cap Cord; USB and A/V cables; FinePix Viewer CD-Rom and Owner’s Manual CD-Rom.
