New Fujifilm S-Series range offers super-zoom, creative control, precision optics and HD capability
The new super zoom FinePix S3200 and FinePix S4000 are the latest additions to Fujifilm’s S-Series range of compact and user friendly bridge cameras, offering flexibility for enthusiasts and professionals.
The 14-megapixel FinePix S3200 and FinePix S4000 boast wide angle lenses, Dual Image Stabilisation CCD sensors, high ISO sensitivity settings for blur-free images, large 3” LCD (S3200 at 230k resolution and S4000 at 460k resolution), as well as a range of other image and social networking features.
Fujinon Zoom Lens
The FinePix S3200 incorporates a super-wide 24x zoom with 24mm–576mm (35mm equivalent) wide angle lens, while the FinePix S4000 provides an impressive 30x zoom with a super wide 24mm-720mm (35mm equivalent) optical lens, allowing users to capture crisp, clear shots either up close, wide or at a distance using the zoom.
Dual Image Stabilisation
Even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging lighting conditions, the FinePix S3200 and FinePix S4000 are able to produce pin-sharp results. With its mechanically stabilised
14-megapixel CCD sensor and high ISO sensitivity settings, FUJIFILM’s Dual Image Stabilisation technology combines to reduce the blurring effects of both handshake and subject movement to provide superb photographs.
Panorama Shooting Mode
The FinePix S3200 and S4000 feature an easy-to-use Motion Panorama shooting mode which captures three successive shots with a helpful tool that automatically releases the shutter once the images are fully aligned to seamlessly stitch the shots together in-camera, enabling the photographer to be as creative as they like.
HD Movie Capture
At the touch of a button, the Fujifilm S-Series range captures stunning movies in 720p with sound at 30fps which can be played back on an HDTV using a mini-HDMI output connector (HDMI cable not included).
Face Recognition and Image Searching
The Face Recognition tool on the FinePix S3200 and FinePix S4000 allows users to tag and name eight of their favourite subjects. In future, the camera will automatically recognise these people in every photo taken and allow you to search for all your photos of them.
SR Auto Scene Recognition technology registers whether you’ve taken a photo of a person, landscape, night shot or macro shot so you can filter your search by subject matter or even date, enabling you to get straight to the photo you are after quickly and intuitively.
Social Networking and PhotoBooks
The FinePix S3200 and FinePix S4000 offer in-camera tagging capabilities for both Facebook and YouTube. Once you connect to a PC and launch My FinePix Studio software, it will automatically upload your photos and movies on either site.

Tracking Auto Focus (AF)
Tracking AF is ideal for tracking fast moving subjects so they don’t escape from the frame in a blur. It allows you to track moving objects automatically for as long as the subject is kept in the frame and the shutter button is half-pressed. Once you fully press the shutter button, you capture a photo in the centre of the frame and in perfect focus.
i-Flash Intelligent Flash
i-Flash Intelligent Flash is a flash control system that efficiently manages the flash level for a given exposure in order to produce beautifully balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background.
Full Manual Controls
Full Manual Controls allows the user to manually control the settings and shooting features. The specially designed chassis includes dedicated command buttons for quick and easy key functions.
Instant Zoom / Zoom Bracketing
This feature is handy for high level photography. The Instant Zoom function captures moving subjects at high zoom settings. After zooming on a subject, a single button gives an additional 1.4x or 2x digital zoom. Zoom bracketing automatically captures the same image three times with zoom ratio settings of 1x, 4x and 2x with a single shutter release.
Continuous Shooting
Continuous Shooting allows up to 8fps for 20 frames in S mode.
AA-Battery Power
Batterypower is convenient when you are on-the-go as it eliminates the need to charge battery packs, allowing for easy battery replacement.
