Fujifilm’s FinePix Z3 is a stylish, ultra-compact digital camera that appeals to the fashion-conscious

The distinctively chic design of the ultra-compact Fujifilm FinePix Z3 houses a solidly engineered digital camera that captures outstanding images, yet is compact enough to fit into a pocket or small handbag.

Fujifilm Senior Category Manager – Consumer & Professional Products, Matt Dole, said the FinePix Z3 is equipped with Fujifilm’s Super CCD HR sensor delivering 5.1 million effective pixels and Real Photo Processor II technology to reduce noise and provide enhanced colour reproduction.

“Available in silver or blue, the FinePix Z3 features an innovative non-extending refractive optical zoom lens with 3x optical zoom. When combined with the 5.7x digital zoom, the camera has a 17.1x total zoom range,” Mr Dole said.

“Incorporating Fujifilm’s Picture Stabilisation Technology at the touch of a button, the FinePix Z3 can automate professional photographic techniques to help reduce the effect of camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low light background detail.

“With an ISO up to 1600, the FinePix Z3 offers a high signal to noise ratio, as well as faster shutter and operational speeds to deliver blur free images.

“The FinePix Z3 also includes Fujifilm’s i-Flash (Intelligent Flash System), which can accurately detect the subtle lighting differences within a scene and then light the subject accordingly with a variety of flash intensities.

“The innovative ‘Natural Light & Flash’ Dual Shot mode enables the capture of two shots in quick succession - one with flash and one without before displaying them side-by-side for an instant comparison.

“In just 0.6 seconds, the camera is ready for action; it has a shutter lag of just 0.01 seconds and a shooting interval of 1.1 seconds between frames.

“The FinePix Z3 is also equipped with a convenient 10MB of internal memory to accommodate those extra shots if the xD Picture Card is full.

“Other features include TV-quality VGA movie capture of 30 frames per second with sound; continuous shooting mode for action photography; 14 scene positions including Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Museum and Party; 2.5-inch LCD screen with scratch resistant glass; as well as PictBridge™ compatibility for direct printing without a PC,” Mr Dole said.

Accessories include a Lithium-ion battery NP-40; AC Power Adaptor AC-5VC; hand strap, USB (mini-B) cable, AV cable, Picture cradle CP-FXZ3 and CD-Rom with FinePix Viewer and ImageMixer VCD2 for FinePix.

The Fujifilm FinePix Z3 is expected to have a recommended retail price of $399, including GST.
