The compact digital SLR-style Fujifilm FinePix S5700 is robust, lightweight and feature-packed!
The Fujifilm FinePix S5700 is a compact digital SLR style camera that is robust, lightweight and feature-packed – an ideal choice for families keen to experience a more advanced camera that is also user-friendly and affordable.
Fujifilm Senior Category Manager – Consumer & Professional Products,
Matt Dole, said the FinePix S5700 incorporates a Fujinon 10x optical zoom lens (38-380mm equivalent), ISO 1600 sensitivity, Fujifilm’s Intelligent Flash system and multiple scene selections, which makes it an ideal camera for any occasion.
“These features combine to create crisp, close-up photos with minimal noise and blur even in difficult conditions like low-light or action shots,” Mr Dole said.
"The FinePix S5700 can also be operated easily with one hand, thanks to its ergonomic design, convenient menu system, button layout, rocker zoom and mode dial.
“With its ISO 1600 sensitivity at full resolution, the FinePix S5700 allows photos to be captured in low light, without flash, resulting in natural looking shots that are realistic to the colour and tone of the original scene.
“When the flash is used, Fujifilm’s Intelligent Flash system, i-Flash, controls the power output and sensitivity to deliver natural foreground illumination with balanced background exposure.
“The FinePix S5700 also features a Picture Stabilisation mode which reduces blur caused by handshake or subject movement. When this mode is selected, the camera will automatically select the correct light sensitivity and optimal shutter speed to produce clear, blur-free images.
“In Dual Shot mode, the FinePix S5700 will capture two photos in quick succession – one with flash and one without – and will save both in order to select the best image.
“There are 14 pre-programmed scene modes activated with a one-touch setting including - Natural Light, Natural Light & Flash, Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Museum, Party, Flower and Text.
“The FinePix S5700 also features a versatile xD / SD media option to accommodate both Fujifilm’s traditional xD-Picture Card™ as well as SecureDigital™ (SD) media cards, providing greater flexibility with storage options for photographers.
“The movie recording function which operates at 30 frames per second with sound, also incorporates Electronic Image Stabilisation to minimise blur caused by camera shake. Zooming and AF functions are also active during movie recording,” Mr Dole said.
Other features include a 2.5-inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixels; electronic viewfinder; rapid start-up time of 1.1 seconds; shutter lag of 0.01 seconds and 27MB of internal memory.
Accessories include 4 x AA-size alkaline batteries; shoulder strap; lens cap; lens cap cord; USB cable; A/V cable; CD-Rom with FinePix Viewer and Owners Manual.
